A highly sought-after, slightly sweet green tea with a refreshing, delicate, chestnut like flavour that is highly sought after by "The Gentlemen" of China.
Like many Chinese teas, Dragon Well has a fascinating story behind it, with the origins of its name featuring in many tales, most of which feature a well in the province where the tea is grown.
The well came to be known as Dragon Well because the movement of the water resembled a Chinese dragon, or perhaps because it was believed that villagers ended a severe drought by praying for rain from a dragon that lived in a nearby spring.
The leaves are flat due to its unique processing that involves pan frying the leaves.
A true taste of the Orient.
